MilkPixel
From Craftivism
Milk Pixel
Date: Saturday and Sunday
Time: All day
Location: Somewhere dark (probably the Theatre and Light Studio after sunset)
Contact: Ad Spiers a.spiers[at]bristol.ac.uk
A non-robotic project by members of Bristol Robotics Lab
Milk Pixel is a semi technical piece of interactive fun that happens in the dark, we hope to have it active as much as possible during Craftivism, either running on it's own or tagging onto other events, whatever works best!
Milk Pixel responds to sound and motion so we're hoping to have it lurking near musicians and noisy hyperactive people.
Of course this is all based on us finishing it on time...and time is tight!

Update (14.12.09) - After a week of much stress and little sleep Milk Pixel was finished in time for craftivism
The Milk Pixel team is Ad Spiers, Thomas Burton, Paul O'Dowd and Jason Welsby
We were helped by Richard Craig and Alex Lenz.
It took 68 2 litre milk bottles to realise the Milk Pixel vision (64 for milk pixel, 4 for the prototype). Special thanks to Nav Sagoo for collecting so many of these bottles and to prolific bottle donators Melody Lelliot, Anna Halama, Sue Happy and postgraduates from Bristol University Geography department. May you enjoy strong teeth and bones!
